Real-Time Artificial Intelligence

CriSys Limited’s Xpert family of tools are the only solutions available that were designed from the start to leverage the powerful capabilities of real-time artificial intelligence to dramatically enhance your preparedness and response capabilities. We pioneered the use of AI in public safety, beginning with the introduction of a real-time rule engine (known as an ‘expert system’ - hence the product name ‘Xpert’) in 1991, then expanding to the use of multi-dimensional logic in 2002 (CriSys is now the custodian of the ‘FuzzyJ’ open-source package), and we are currently conducting R&D with two other promising technologies.

Technology Platform

CriSys Limited’s Xpert family of tools were designed for extreme platform flexibility and maximum value. The core server-based software is Enterprise Java, using the open-source OpenJDK library and open-source databases. The client-side software is in an AJAX-type web client, except for the advanced, multi-screen GUIs used in the call centre, which use the Enterprise Java GUI. We support both Linux and Windows, as well as any device with a current browser (tablets, smartphones, etc). Our developers have woven these technologies into the very fabric of our unique distributed processing architecture; Xpert can suffer the loss of multiple servers or workstations, and automatically re-configure to continue operations with all surviving hardware, thus providing the highest level of system resiliency available for a public-safety system.
